Ethical Principles and Publication Policy

PUBLICATION ETHICS

Düşünce Dünyasında Türkiz has adopted the principles of the Committee of Publication Ethics (COPE), which aims to ensure the quality standard and continuity of peer-reviewed publications, to ensure the highest level of academic and ethical standards.
The journal is obliged to ensure that the submitted studies are evaluated impartially. This obligation means that the studies submitted to the journal will be evaluated only in the context of their contributions to the academic literature by going through the blind peer review process. The "double-blind referee" evaluation process is applied to the studies submitted to the journal. In case of conflicting or insufficient evaluations of the referees, the editors may send the manuscript to a third referee for evaluation.
Manuscripts that have been published in another journal before, or that are found to be submitted to more than one journal at the same time, that violate legal and academic criteria such as plagiarism will not be evaluated. If a violation is detected, the process is stopped.
Referees should waive the evaluation process by stating in the manuscript that they have a conflict of interest with the author or institution of the article they are evaluating. Referees should also make technical comments such as the contribution of the study to the academic literature, and whether academic methods are applied or not. Personal comments and polemics against authors should be avoided.
The Editorial Board of the Journal decides on the studies to be published by considering the referee reports. It is not possible to publish the articles rejected by the referees. The final decision of the articles evaluated positively by the referees is determined by the Journal Editorial Board. The journal is not obliged to provide justifications to the authors of unpublished studies.
All kinds of studies conducted with qualitative or quantitative approaches that require data collection from the participants using survey, interview, focus group work, observation, experiment, interview techniques, and retrospective studies by the personal data protection law are within the scope of studies that require ethics committee approval.
Düşünce Dünyasında Türkiz is an open-access journal and does not charge any fees from the authors.
